Hillcrest Merimbula

Nice hotel our room had a great view and a comfortable bed. The grounds include a tennis court, pool and outdoor fireplace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day we left Casper gave us some advice on nice places to visit on our way back up the coast which we used to have an amazing day discovering new places thank you for that!

We had the best 2 night stay at Hillcrest! The rooms are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. Love that they’ve updated the rooms while keeping the 70s feel. Every staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful & well manicured. My son loved that the fire pit was available to toast some marshmallows. The breakfast available at the motel was delicious and the best part about it was the lovely Tracey who we got to have a good chat to! We can’t wait to return to Hillcrest!

A great hotel especially for the price. Lovely view and great facilities: the pool, tennis court and grounds were wonderful. It was quiet even during summer holidays. We were visited by the kangaroos which my son loved. The beds were comfortable and the decor modern and practical. I was very impressed with the cleanliness also. Happily recommend and wish we could of stayed longer.

The thing about Merimbula is it is incredibly naturally beautiful. A wonderful example of a pristine sea village that hasn’t been over built or left to rot. There is a new wave of energy that is happening here - great little tapas bars, a burger joint called dulcis which is extraordinary and the Hillcrest Motel which sits perched above it all with beautiful simple elegant linen beds, a rejuvenated “old style” motel which has been given 21st century refurbishment that makes it the perfect “let’s go see the sapphire coast” and jump in our car for want of a better word “vibe” and I really don’t like that word and use it sparingly. So what have you got to lose ? 5 and a half hours of great music and a destination that warrants your time.
